Students will acquire vital biotech workplace skills and receive a UCI digital badge in Fundamentals of Cell Culture upon completion of the internship.

Life Science Career Exploration

For High School, Undergraduate, & Graduate Students

This 9-week internship equips students with vital workplace skills such as communication, organization, problem-solving, interpersonal, and self-motivation in a biotech setting. Students will learn how to maintain a working wet laboratory and how to communicate with their peers, multidisciplinary scientists, and industry professionals.

Students will be able to earn a UCI digital credential badge in Fundamentals of Cell Culture, the President's Volunteer Service Award, and a $500 stipend after completion of the internship.

Internship Schedule

Prerequisite: Students must have taken Molecular Biology 1 and 2 at ULP to be eligible

Virtual Orientation: Thursday, June 5, 2025 | 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Mondays & Thursdays: June 9, 2025 - August 7, 2025 | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Rock the Science Showcase: August 7, 2025 | 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM

No class the week of June 30th
