Sean was a Co-founder and CEO of Laser Associated Sciences, Inc. (LAS), a medical device company specializing in the development of novel blood flow monitoring technology to improve diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with vascular disease. LAS's first FDA-cleared device, the FlowMet-R, is currently being used to provide real-time surgical feedback during procedures to treat peripheral artery disease. LAS was acquired by Medtronic is 2020, and Sean now manages the diagnostics and monitoring group in Medtronic’s peripheral and endovascular unit. Sean has more than 15 year of experience developing optical technologies, particularly in the area hemodynamic assessment. He received a BS in optics from the University of Rochester, and a PhD in biomedical engineering from the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California, Irvine.
